If your equipment supports DICOMweb, it can send studies directly to the cloud. Many older or lower-end modalities do not support DICOMweb (or its API key and OAuth authentication), so for those you deploy our lightweight local gateway, which installs on a small on-site machine and forwards images to CosmiPACS. Either path works with your existing equipment, so you do not need to replace your machines to use CosmiPACS.

No, the CosmiPACS viewer is not FDA approved. It is intended for reference use only in small practices to securely managed and share imaging studies. It is not intended for primary diagnostic use which requires an end-to-end FDA-approved workflow. It does, however, facilitate secure and convenient study sharing, making it perfect for small practices who work with remote radiologists to read studies off-site on appropriate workstations.
